So I recently chopped off my long hair and donated it to an awareness named locks of love. What is locks of love? Locks of love is a public non-profit organisation that provides hair pieces to children in the United States and Canada under the age of 21 suffering from long term medical hair loss due to
diagnosis. This organisation accepts donation of human hair with the intention to make wigs for the unfortunate children who has suffered from medical hair loss.
As you all may or may not know my hair means the world to me and having to cut it off is like having mushroom soup without any mushrooms in it, there is nothing to feel sad about since I'm doing it for a good cause. Plus, I've been receiving positive comments on my new hair do.
The main reason as to why I decided to do this was because I've been wanting to do something meaningful before 2014 ends and since christmas is around the corner, why not ?
Charity doesn't mean you have to spend tonnes of money but it is however a simple act of kindness we can do to make others feel loved and appreciated. Even just by smiling to people who walk pass you is an act of kindness, they may have a bad day and who knows maybe because of your smile, you made their day.
A big shoutout to my sister, Lynspires98 for helping me throughout the whole process and being patient with me while I complaint and whined about my new hair (I did shed
Much love to both mommy and daddy for being super supportive and constantly giving compliments on my new hair too ! ily so much <3
After all , I'm actually starting to like my new look. A huge change doesn't mean it's a bad change.
